Welcome at Register Holland

Register Holland is a national classification society recognised by the Netherlands Shiping Inspectorate. Register Holland was founded in 1984 as an independent and highly specialised organisation, focused on surveying sailing passenger vessels. Its knowledge of both traditional and modern rigging is unique. Surveys for Dutch certificates are conducted by Register Holland in accordance with their own classification rules. There are special rules for:

  • Seagoing sailing vessels with up to 36 passengers and 500 gt.
    (White Rules)
  • Inland navigation sailing vessels with more than 12 passengers.
    (Yellow Rules)
  • Inland navigation sailing vessels with up to 12 passengers
    (Red Rules)
  • Non-commercial seagoing sailing vessels
    (Green Rules)

Register Holland is able to survey ships according to any given standard set of rules. For example, we regularly survey ships according to the EU 98/18 guideline for passenger vessels in domestic water.

Register Holland can carry out an preliminary survey. At the end of this survey the surveyor gives an advice about which kind of certificate(s) is/are possible.
